Services & Fees

Consultation with the author can be arranged and will typically be email correspondence. You can find a contact form on the Contact Us page. This correspondence may relate to planning a research or public education project using the POSHA-S, questions about sampling, assistance with data reduction or interpretation, and so on. Replies to initial inquiries are free of charge, but later consultations may incur fees. Importantly, inquiries and consultations that culminate in research collaborations with the author will not incur any consultations fees.

Initial inquiries are accomplished through another secure website.

The User´s Manual and POSHA-S questionnaires can be ordered on-line. Users may administer the POSHA-S to samples and analyze their results as they wish. In this case, they should purchase as many POSHA-Ss as they desire (in packages of 100) or a license to use the POSHA-S for 60 days in an online survey. Additional 60-day extensions will be granted with a followup order. For these projects, users´ results will not be compared with nor included in the POSHA-S Archive.

A more attractive option for most users will likely be to compare their results to those of previous studies. (See The POSHA-S Archive.) With the Normative Package, users will purchase (as appropriate) the following for a single fee:

An overall summary of the POSHA-S is presented in the form of a radial graph.
The graph summarizes stuttering items in terms of subscores of beliefs about –and self reactions to–people who stutter (PWS) as well as their contributing components. The mean of the two stuttering subscores are combined into an Overall Stuttering Score. Stuttering attitudes can be placed into a perspective with ratings relating to obesity and mental illness. Finally, individual sample scores can be compared with all previous sample data from the archive, notably the lowest, highest, and median sample scores (calculated as means). Additional information is available in the User´s Manual.

Figure: Lowest, highest, and median ratings for means from samples currently available for POSHA-S components, subscores, and Total Stuttering Scores.
